Aveda Salon in Los Altos is looking for a full-time, part-time Front Desk Coordinator with an approachable personality and tremendous retail skills! This position requires excellent multi-tasking skills and the character to be a part of a creative, fun environment with Aveda products.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet clients, walk them to the proper beauty station, and inform assigned beauticians of their arrival
• Book and confirm appointments via phone and email
• Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts
• You can offer beverages and chat with clients in the waiting area
• Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services, and schedule appointments based on availability
• Inform clients about new services and discounts
• Maintain a tidy reception area

Requirements:

• Salon experience and receptionist preferred
• Highly skilled in maintaining front desk tasks, answering phones, booking appointments, and handling cash drawer
• Exceptional customer service skills and excellent phone etiquette
• Familiarity with processing transactions
• An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances
• Demonstrated ability to replenish retail products and assist in inventory processes
• Knowledge of Aveda products and Salonbiz a plus
• Able to upsell and stay on feet throughout the day
• Walk up stairs
• High school diploma
• Must work Saturdays

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

3+ years minimum experience in front-facing customer service, reception, or admin role in a busy environment with multiple priorities and data entry. Scheduling and cash handling are a plus. Previous salon/spa experience a plus, but isn’t required.
